The Tuong Long Tower was built in 1058 by King y Thanh Tong during the period when Buddhism was the national religion. Its name, "Tuong Long," is associated with the king's dream of seeing a golden dragon, symbolizing prosperity for the country. In 2007, the tower was reconstructed, with construction starting on the original archaeological site.
After 10 years of meticulous work, the structure was completed to replicate its original form. The tower was built using ceramic bricks, with decorations characteristic of the Ly Dynasty. It comprises nine levels, featuring a square base and a statue of Amitabha Buddha seated on a lotus pedestal made of stone.
