The "Red Flamboyant" train
A new symbol of Hai Phong tourism
The Red Flamboyant Train is a collaborative project between the Vietnam Railways Corporation and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong. The train was launched on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong’s Liberation Day, aiming to enhance the quality of rail transport services and promote tourism between the two major cities.

Design and Amenities
The train consists of 20 brand-new carriages, featuring a modern and comfortable design. Each seat is equipped with a personal reading light, power outlet, free Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. All carriages include spacious hand-washing areas and modern, clean, and well-ventilated restrooms.
- 2 VIP carriages: Each carriage has 16 single sofa seats and 5 sets of long sofas, totaling 34 seats. The VIP carriages are impressively designed in the Indochine style, featuring a bar and live musicians.
- 18 standard carriages: Equipped with 56 seats that can rotate 180 degrees, allowing passengers to easily choose their preferred viewing position throughout the journey.
The train’s exterior features three main colors—blue, white, and red—inspired by the vibrant hue of flamboyant flowers.
Red Flamboyant Train Ticket Prices
VIP TICKET: Free Wi-Fi and complimentary drinks at the bar. This carriage is also the venue for onboard musical performances.
